We had our 2 month check up last week. Cooper is definitely growing... gained almost 2 pounds in one month and grew a half an inch. His doctor checked his ears, eyes, nose and joints. He talked about all the great things Cooper should be doing in his second month, what to look forward to, and answered ALL of our questions. Cooper got an A+ and passed all the tests and was "talking" up a storm to the doctor and smiling. Although there is one concern so we have to take him to get some X-Rays, but he is great, and I will fill you in when we know more. The worst part is when the nurse came in. I feel bad for nurses, they are the ones that look bad to the kiddies because they come in with all the shots. So Cooper got his 2 month shots, which consisted of three shots in his scrawny thighs and one given orally. I placed him down on the bed so the nurse could do her job. He had my finger in one hand and Michael's in the other. The medicine given orally was fine, the first shot he cried but then quickly recovered, it was the second shot that all hell broke loose. He went into the silent cry where you don't breathe for a second, and his face turned purple. Cooper squeezed our hands SOO hard and did not stop crying until I picked him up after the third shot. My little boy was in so much pain I ended up crying for him. Now I really understand when parents say they feel the pain of their children! Needless to say we are both alright. He had a few cranky days afterwards, but we are back to all smiles!!
